Introducing LPCB

LPCB: The Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) is a globally recognised third-party certification body delivering certainty for over 150 years.

The LPCB’s Loss Prevention Standards (LPS) are widely recognised and applied in security sectors around the world. The standards give confidence that certified products and services will perform effectively. The LPS 1175 Issue 8 standard guarantees enhanced protection through a rigorous classification of resistance levels against intrusions.

In the B3 test, trained testers try to break through the fence using basic tools like a hammer, crowbar, bolt cutters, or small saws. If the product resists entry for the full 3-minute attack period, it earns the LPS 1175 B3 rating. This proves the system provides real, tested protection against intruders using hand tools.

Palifor® Modular High Security Fencing is rated: LPS 1175 B3 (Formerly SR2)

This means that intruders will incur a minimum of 3 minutes delay to attackers using the tools set: B.

10 Reasons to Choose an LPCB SR Rated System

LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) SR (Security Rating) systems are rigorously tested and globally recognized, ensuring a trusted standard for high-security environments.

SR-rated systems are tested against a wide range of tools and attack durations, ensuring your perimeter can withstand real-world intrusion attempts.

Government, CNI (Critical National Infrastructure), and insurance specifications often require SR-rated systems—especially for sensitive facilities like data centres.

Using SR-rated fencing can help meet compliance standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR (physical security aspect), and other data protection frameworks.

A breach can result in massive financial and reputational damage. Robust perimeter protection helps prevent incidents that could lead to costly outages or data loss.

Most SR-rated solutions are designed to work seamlessly with surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control technologies for layered security.

Visibly certified systems act as a strong deterrent—sending a clear message that your site is hardened and not a soft target.

Many insurers recognize LPCB certification as a marker of reduced risk, which can lead to better coverage terms or lower premiums.

SR ratings are kept up to date as attack methods evolve. Choosing a certified system ensures your perimeter protection stays relevant.

Demonstrating robust, third-party-certified security gives clients, investors, and regulators assurance that you’re serious about protecting critical infrastructure.
